Lectionary Bible Study meets Tuesday afternoons from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and is open to all. Pastor Matthew Broadbent leads
the discussion, focusing on the scriptures that form the theme of the next Sunday's worship and sermon. Regular attendance is
not required. You'll be welcome whenever you can attend. New participants are always welcome.
Truth Seekers meet
Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the meeting room. Fay Oliver and Angi Peck facilitate. Participants choose
the religious topic for discussion. Fay says, "questioning, affirming, doubting and exploring are encouraged." We
utilize videos, books and articles for discussion, such as Karen Armstrong speaking at a Jesus Seminar conference, Bill
Moyers PBS special on Faith and Reason and Marcus Borg's "Reading the Bible Again for the First Time" book. We've also studied
other faiths such as Judaism, Islam and Buddhism besides Christianity. Open to all and whenever you can attend. See Calendar for current
study subject.
