How do I access the Virtual services?
I’m a visitor, can I tune into your virtual service?
Yes, we welcome visitors to join us virtually just as we would in person. Whether you are from our neck of the woods or tuning in from afar, you are welcome. Church service begins at 10am, although you are welcome to join in on Zoom for some social time prior to the service. To prevent interruptions during the service, we mute all viewers except the person speaking. After the service, the host will assign all participants to a Zoom Breakout room where you can meet other members and participants. Pastor Chris hops around the different Breakout rooms.
We also encourage visitors to sign up for our weekly e-newsletter This Week by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The e-newsletter contains additional information about virtual programs being run and outreach efforts by our members.
When will in-person services resume?
We don’t anticipate resuming in-person services for some time. Rather than focusing on how quickly we can resume operations, we are focused on setting up ways for our members to meet safely in this middle time – the time while virus is circulating and before there is an effective treatment or widespread availability of a vaccine. We are very conscious that we do not want our members to put themselves at risk or provide a route of infection through church events. It does not make sense to us to rush as so many of the members of our community are classified as vulnerable populations.
Are social and educational groups still running?
Yes! Many groups are still meeting virtually via Zoom including Truthseekers, Women’s Fellowship, and Men’s Breakfast. See the weekly e-newsletter This Week for more information, or email email@example.com.
Is there any offering for children or youth?
Yes, our Children’s teachers continue to update a page of resources for Children and Youth. A virtual Confirmation class for youth ran in the spring of 2020.
Is the church office open?
The church office is currently closed, but the church mail and email are being monitored. Feel free to contact Susana at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need anything.
Can I still get in touch with a pastor?
Yes, you can still reach out to our pastor Rev. Dr. Chris Breedlove and other staff by contacting the church office at email@example.com.
Are you still performing baptisms, weddings, and memorial services?
Please get in touch with our church office at firstname.lastname@example.org to see what options may be available. We are committed to following county guidelines which may mean either limited attendance or virtual services.
