Fellowship is important at Foothills – we offer many different opportunities to get together. Our groups are described below, and are shown on our online calendar. (The calendar link is in the top left corner of all of our web pages.) Altar Guild Love working with flowers and sharing your artistry? Altar Guild members bring their own skills and styles to the creation of floral arrangements for the sanctuary and special events, supporting and encouraging each other along the way. They especially love decorating for the holidays. Altar Guild members also enjoy occasional luncheons and field trips together. Jo Pomeroy is the leader.
Book Group meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at 11:00 AM on Zoom for about an hour. The group selects a reading list of one book per month (several months in advance) choosing from all genres. Discussion is always stimulating, lively and respectful. Ann Nelson is the leader.
Circle of Women Yearn for a small group of female supporters and confidantes? Circle of Women meets on the 4th Monday of the month at 7:00 PM on Zoom for up to two hours of sharing life’s concerns and joys. Irene Ogawa is the leader.

Creating Personal Cards Group *Currently on a break* Make some time to nourish your creative side. The Personal Cards Group meets Mondays from 10:00 AM to noon in the Meeting Room to create greeting cards. Just think how much you would enjoy having dedicated time for creativity as you think of making someone feel remembered and special.
Justice Issues Study Group *Currently on a break* The Justice Issues Study Group explores the UCC tradition of working for Justice in our society. The Group aims to become more informed and to act on issues of injustice in our community. The group has offered forums on Justice issues in the Santa Clara County Courts, laws around the LGBTQ community, homelessness, and affordable housing.
Knitting Circle *Currently on a break* Get out your knitting needles! Knitting Circle meets on the 2nd Friday of the month from 1:00 to 2:30 PM in the Fireside Room to create prayer shawls and baby blankets for those needing a little extra-special enveloping warmth of Foothills friendship and support. Other projects are fine, too, so come prepared to knit and chatter. All abilities are welcome! Those who cannot attend are welcome to knit and provide their creations to the Circle.
Men’s Breakfast This lively and congenial group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on Zoom. This is a supportive group of men who discuss interesting and thought-provoking themes. Currently meting on Zoom. Charlie Golden is the leader.
Nature Hikes with Bobbi A new adventure awaits the 1st Wednesday of each month – Bobbi Callison picks an interesting nearby destination for each outing. Information about the location and terrain are provided several days in advance. Carpools are available.
Prayer Circle offers the Foothills community an opportunity to seek and offer prayers. It is conducted by weekly emails to all participants. Nancy Traficanti is the leader.
Women’s Brunch Enjoy a lively brunch with Foothills women at a member’s home on the 3rd Monday of the month at 11:30 AM. Friends are welcome.
