Altar Guild: Love working with flowers and sharing your artistry? Altar Guild members bring their own skills and styles to the creation of floral arrangements for the sanctuary and special events, supporting and encouraging each other along the way. They especially love decorating for the holidays. Altar Guild members also enjoy occasional luncheons and field trips together.
Book Group: Want/need the opportunity to read and discuss a book of current interest in a small group? Book Group meets in the Fireside Room at 10:30 a.m. on the 4th Tuesday of the month for about an hour. Participants select the books as a group several months in advance, choosing from all genres. The discussion is always stimulating, lively and respectful.
Circle of Women: Yearn for a small group of female supporters and confidantes? The Circle of Women meets on the 4th Monday of the month from 7-9:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room. Participants enjoy a simple “no guilt” potluck dinner and the company of one another, sharing life concerns as well as celebrations. “No guilt” means you are welcome to personally cook something or bring a store-bought item if you choose.

Creating Personal Cards Group: Wishing for special moments to indulge your creative side? The Personal Cards Group meets Mondays from 10:00-noon in the Meeting Room to create greeting cards. Just think how much you would enjoy having structured time to let your artistic juices flow as you think of making someone feel remembered and special.
Justice Issues Study Group: The Justice Issues Study Group was formed several years ago to examine the UCC tradition of working for Justice in our society. As a group they aim to become more informed and to act on issues of injustice in our community. The group has offered forums on Justice issues in the Santa Clara County Courts, laws around the LGBTQ community, homelessness, and affordable housing.
Knitting Circle: Get out your knitting needles! This group meets on the 2nd Friday of the month from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room to create prayer shawls and baby blankets for those deserving of a little extra-special enveloping warmth of Foothills friendship and support. Other projects are fine, too, so come prepared to knit and chatter. All abilities are welcome! Those who cannot attend are welcome to knit and provide their creations to the Circle.
Ladies Brunch: Enjoy a lively brunch with other Foothills women on the 3rd Monday of the month at 11 a.m. Each month brings a different discussion theme; you can participate in the conversation or just enjoy listening to what others have to say. Join us at Rick’s Cafe, 205 State Street in Los Altos.
Men’s Breakfast: This lively and congenial group gathers on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 8-9:30 a.m. at The Original Pancake House at 420 S. San Antonio Rd. in Los Altos. This is a supportive group of men who discuss interesting and thought-provoking themes. Conversation is animated and the food is decent. Breakfast is $15, including beverage.

Women’s Fellowship: Interested in widening your circle of women friends at Foothills? Bring a bag lunch and join in lively, wide-ranging, and free-flowing conversation on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at noon in the Fireside Room. Women’s Fellowship is a warm and comfortable opportunity to get to know each another, and a great way to keep up with what is going on at Foothills.
