As you’ve seen on the news, Half Moon Bay farmworkers and their families have been severely impacted by the recent mass shooting, in addition to flooding from recent storms. Foothills will be helping the Half Moon Bay farmworker community in two ways:
1. Our Outreach Committee is donating $1,000 to ALAS (Ayudando Latinos A Soñar) a Latino-centered organization in Half Moon Bay. ALAS will use the funds to help the families of the farmworkers affected by the shooting.
2. Our congregation is collecting gift cards, food, water, and emergency supplies to contribute to the Farmworker Caravan drive. Items will be collected at church from Friday February 3 through Monday February 13 and then delivered to Half Moon Bay. Please make sure your items are all on the Accepted Items list below. Thank you for doing what you can to help this community in need.
We hold the Half Moon Bay farmworker community in our prayers.
