Nature Outings
with Bobbi
First Wednesday & third Saturday
Usually at 10:30 AM
Details for the upcoming outing are published the preceding Sunday.
Explore the beauty of our nearby natural wonders and spots of interest, led by the indefatigable Bobbi Callison. Outings range from easy paved walks to moderate trail hikes. Wear appropriate footwear for exploring outdoor trails; bring a water bottle, and a hat for sun protection.
Saturday, Nov. 16 | Baylands Nature Preserve
RSVP required

As announced in the November Footnotes, Bobbi will be doing two more Nature Outings: there’s one this Saturday, November 16, and the final one is Wednesday, December 4.
Saturday, November 16 is a King Tide day. We will go to the Baylands Nature Preserve on Embarcadero Road in Palo Alto to experience this yearly event. A 9 foot increase in the tides is predicted at noon.

Meet near the Interpretive Center (it’s the building on stilts) at 10:30. Wear shoes or boots that you don't mind getting wet. If you wish, bring a bag lunch as there are picnic tables. Bring a friend!
If you think you might attend, it’s important to RSVP by 10 AM on Friday, November 15: email Bobbi (find her email address in the Foothills Directory) or
katy_waugh@foothills-church.org with
• your cell phone number
• the number of people in your group
• whether you need a ride.
If not enough people sign up, the event will be cancelled, and those who RSVP’d will be notified.
Directions
Take Embarcadero Road East off 101. Proceed through the first signal. Go past the Palo Alto airport. At the stop sign, turn left. Stay on this road to look for a parking place. It may be crowded. The Interpretive Center will be on your left at the end of this road – meet here at 10:30. Call Bobbi on her cell phone (her number is in the Church Directory) if needed.
