Our family of faith seeks to embrace people of every ability, age, ethnicity, family or economic status, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief and cultural origin. Whether you are passing through, attending with a friend or relative, searching for a church home, or seeking answers to life’s questions, we are glad to have you join us.
Our 10am Sunday worship brings us together to celebrate the life and teachings of Jesus through scripture, prayer, music, and sermons that stimulate ever-new insights into our Christian faith. Both Rev. Dr. Chris Breedlove, our Senior Minister, and Rev. Melanie Weiner, our Associate Minister, conduct worship.
Childcare is provided in our nursery by experienced caregivers. However, it is not unusual for parents to bring their small children into worship. At the beginning of the 10am worship service, children and youth enjoy a short Children’s Time with the Minister and congregation before leaving for music, learning and fun in our Children’s Program.
Our worship is lively and we have a wonderful music program. We often have guest musicians, such as a guitarist, flautist and mandolinist, in addition to our own superb choirs. Communion is held the first Sunday of every month. We practice an open table and invite all to join with us in communion.
After worship we gather in the courtyard to socialize over coffee, tea and lemonade. You will find a warm welcome as you join us for refreshment. Members generally wear name tags and blank name tags are available in the courtyard or on the backs of the pews if visitors care introduce themselves in this way. We want you to feel at home in our congregation.
In addition to our Sunday morning service, members and visitors partake in a variety of musical groups, faith formation classes, and social groups. There is also a robust program for youth and families with programming throughout the year. Traditional and social events are held on a regular basis for the entire church community. Lastly, the congregation participates in numerous opportunities to serve the community and the church.
